Air France, KLM Team Up with Sky Express for Flights to Greek Islands – GTP Headlines

Air France, KLM and Greek carrier Sky Express have signed an interline agreement, aiming to strengthen their commercial cooperation for flights between Paris, Amsterdam and the Greek islands.

This new agreement allows air passengers to travel across Sky Express’ network with the convenience of a single ticket reservation, connecting Paris-Charles de Gaulle or Amsterdam-Schiphol with 24 Greek destinations operated by Sky Express via AthensAlexandroupolis, Astypalea, Kefalonia, Chios, Corfu, Kythira, Ioannina, Heraklion, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Kos, Ikaria, Chania, Lemnos, Milos, Mykonos, Mytilini, Naxos, Paros, Samos, Santorini, Skiathos, Syros and Zakynthos.

, Air France, KLM Team Up with Sky Express for Flights to Greek Islands – GTP HeadlinesFrom the passenger’s perspective, interlining simplifies travel arrangements for Air France, KLM and Sky Express, since all baggage transfer services will be provided at the connecting airport. Moreover, all Air France – KLM passengers can enjoy complimentary access to Sky Express’ lounge at Athens airport during their connection.

“We are confident that this agreement will remarkably improve passenger transport and tourism development on the Greek islands. Sky Express will continue to focus on extending its network and playing an important role in domestic air transport,” said Sky Express President and CEO Theodoros Krokidas.

The 24 destinations offered by Sky Express are operated respectively up to 377 times weekly on departure from Athens by ATR42 aircraft, with a capacity of 48 seats, and by ATR72, with a capacity of 70 seats.

Meanwhile, Air France offers 39 weekly flights to Athens by Airbus A319 on departure from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, in addition to KLM’s offer of 14 weekly flights on departure from Amsterdam-Schiphol by Boeing 737.

“By teaming up with Sky Express, customers benefit from the strength of the national Greek network starting this summer on departure from our two main hubs,” Patrick Roux, SVP Alliances Air France-KLM Group said.

Passengers can book their round trip from the airline’s websites and all Air France, KLM and Sky Express ticket offices.
