We are a family of 8 and wanted to sail for a week on the Greek islands. As we are not advanced sailors, we chose to hire a skipper. We had the luck to get Walter as a skipper in the Piraeus Marina, where we started for our week in the Saronic Sea.
Arriving on Saturday, we started our sail to Aegina. Walter made us feel comfortable from the start. He explained the guidelines and asked what we wanted. As we were more of relaxing and tranquillity, Walter did most of the sailing. If you wanted, you could join in helping him. As the kids did, whenever they wanted. Our tour continued to Vathi, Ermioni, Hydra, Spetses, Poros and back to Piraeus.
Walter showed us the most fantastic bays, authentic harbours and beautiful sailing routes. We all loved and enjoyed it so much with snorkelling, sup, swimming and seeing dolphins joining us during the sail. Eating at Greek tavernas, drinking at cocktail bars or cooking our own meal, when staying overnight in a bay. So, if you ever think of sailing in Greece, but have no sail experience, we can definitely recommend Walter. He is a very advanced sailor, can sail on all different kind of boats and knows his way around in the Greek water. He makes you feel welcome and helps you where ever he can!
