The Polish producer of luxury large catamarans and superyachts, Baltic Yachts, has announced a 50ft sailing model that will fit into its new range of smaller yachts. This was initially launched with the Sunreef 60 and 80 and will eventually comprise four designs.
These boats have all been conceived to maximise both indoor and outdoor space, with the division between the two zones blurred as far as possible. High freeboard increases volume in the hulls, while a wide beam of almost 30ft, plus a new bridge deck and superstructure design, contribute to an impressive total of 167 square meters of living area.
The vast saloon opens at the front onto a large bow terrace, and aft onto a big cockpit. This provides an additional al fresco dining area under the hardtop and can be further extended in size with a hydraulically lowered aft platform. There’s also a substantial flybridge area that houses the main helm position, as well as a fully-equipped wet bar, large sun pads, modular seating and even space for a jacuzzi. High bulwarks contribute towards a sense of security when moving around on the main deck.
Layouts
Up to three en-suite cabins can be created in each hull. Alternative layouts include a pair of luxurious guest cabins in the port hull, plus a huge master suite in the starboard one, with a walk-in dressing room, desk, sofa, retractable TV and an immense bathroom. Further custom arrangements can be accommodated to suit the needs of individual owners. For instance, the galley can be either placed down at hull level or integrated into the bridge deck saloon. There are six boats already on order, with the first ones scheduled to be launched during the 2018 season.
